High density pictures

The images on this website were optimized especially for use on the World Wide Web. Essentially, this means the pixel count was decreased in order to give faster download times. Decreasing the pixel size makes smaller files but also makes a lower quality picture. The trade off is trying to keep a picture as sharp as possible yet obtaining a file size that takes no more than 9 seconds to download at 56k/second (the usual dialup speed for modems in North America).

There are two ways to obtain pictures from this site. You could right-click on an image and save it to your own computer. You can email me and ask to have an image emailed or sent by disk to you. If you ask me for an image to be emailed or mailed to you, I'll send you the full sized image. The quality of images sent this way have about 10 - 15 times the information per image file.

Full resolution images emailed to you will take a long time to download at 56k/second!
